International trade has been the catalysis for globalization. Globalization is the convergence of distinct national economic systems to one huge global market (Hill, 2005). Several theories exist that explain the benefits of international trade and subsequently globalization. Adam's Smith's theory of absolute advantage, the theory of comparative advantage and the Heckscher-Ohlin theory all support the concept of globalization."
