By realizing the artistic premise of these two works, the maternal aspects of the Cult of Mary will be analyzed to bring deeper insight into why these works were created. By understanding the art application, materials, and stylization of these carvings, one can understand the impact of religiosity through the foundation of Christ in the Roman Catholic Church's spiritual hierarchy."
