In addition to this, the element of empathy further contributes towards the development of emotional intelligence in an individual. It allows the individual to consider the feelings of the individuals who are expected to be affected by his or her decisions. Emotional Intelligence helps the individuals to realize the fact that their decisions are going to affect others in a positive or a negative manner and therefore they should consider the consequences of their decisions. Finally, social skills allow the individuals to come close to their peers and subordinates and understand their emotional needs."
